THE INCREMENTAL PATHWAY / Chief Product Officer

ADVANCED ยท sample brief and output

Illustrative. Adapted to your requirements.
Our 80/20 approach uses a shared structure, then tailors the priority, data, tools, controls and success measures. The balance varies with your needs; it is not a fixed scope or a promise of results.

Decision context

Customers repeatedly abandon a setup step, but requests point to several different features. The brief separates observed behaviour from proposed solutions, compares two explanations and defines an experiment that could change the roadmap decision.

Build and check

  1. Use permitted sources and record their date and owner.
  2. Ask approved AI tools to propose the model or asset and explain its assumptions.
  3. Review calculations, reasoning and evidence links against the original source.
  4. Test an ordinary case, an exception and a missing-input case.
  5. Record the reviewer, version and boundaries before use.

Conditions

Protect customer privacy and avoid inventing research findings. AI synthesis must remain traceable to evidence; product judgement and release authority stay with people.

Your first pilot and scale decision

Illustrative scope: One proposition and its next investment decision

Core team: Product lead + research or design + commercial partner

Capacity goes into: Better evidence for the next product investment

Scale gate: Customer evidence changes a scale, adapt or stop decision; adoption and economics are followed beyond the initial trial.

Connected ownership: Marketing tests demand; Technology checks feasibility; Customer brings usage evidence; Finance tests the economics.

Agree scope, fees, participant effort, approved data and success thresholds before starting. Adapt by business unit and region; examples are not verified client results.
